Oromo American Citizens Council is a non-profit and non-political
organization. It is established in 2002 to link Oromo population in
Local and National American political system.
OACC mission Statement
The mission of the Oromo-American Citizens Council (OACC) is to educate and motivate Oromo Americans and others to participate in the social and political process locally and nationally and to work to prevent violations of fundamental civil and political rights in Ethiopia and around the world. The OACC was founded in 2002, in part, to raise awareness and advocate against abuses of human rights in Ethiopia based on ethnic background on behalf of the estimated 10-15,000 Oromos in Minnesota .
