Educational Workshop - Part II
The first part was Unity and Diversity in the context of Oromo liberation.
Presented Mr. Hassen Hussein
The 2nd part of this workshop begins with the belief that conflicts cannot
be avoided, and they can actually propel innovation if handled effectively.
This workshop gives our leaders and participants the tools to face conflicts
fearlessly and remain neutral while navigating toward a positive outcome.
Participants learn how to diffuse tense situations and recognize the real
issues at stake, then shift the dynamic to a productive problem-solving
experience that satisfies as many of the critical needs as possible.

On April 22, 2004 OACC Sponsored student day at Minnesota state capitol
Minnesota. Legislators and staff from senator Mark Dayton and congresswomen
Betty McCollum, where present and spoke about the human right in Ethiopia
and the current Student situation.

Community Organizations & Conflict Resolution workshop
Sponsored by Oromo-American Citizen Council (OACC)
Purpose:
The 1st part of this workshop talks about the use of community organizations,
and addresses issues surrounded them.
The 2nd part of this workshop begins with the belief that conflicts cannot be
avoided, and they can actually propel innovation if handled effectively. This
workshop gives our leaders and participants the tools to face conflicts
fearlessly and remain neutral while navigating toward a positive outcome.
Participants learn how to diffuse tense situations and recognize the real issues

Goals:
Learn to recognize a conflict as it arises and address the fundamental issues
effectively.
Understand one's own conflict resolution style and define a path toward
improvement.
Learn and understand about community organizations.
Get tips and learn some methodologies how to function and work together as an
organization in a complex society.
